Jet lag? What Jet lag?

We had a bit of a false start today, with jet-lag finally catching up with us around about midday. Unfortunately this led us back to the hotel, where what turned into a “quick nap before we go out again” turned into sleeping for the rest of the day until about 7pm. The day wasn’t totally wasted snoozing though; we did manage to get out for a few hours in the morning, making our way back to familiar ground to get ourselves re-acquainted with our surroundings.

We decided to return to what had become our favourite place to lunch on our last visit, the Metropolitan Cafe in the business district of Admiralty. Filling up on paninis and coffee, we went for a wander; we didn’t explore this part of town much when we were last here, so most of what we discovered was fairly new, if only upmarket shopping areas and corporate buildings.

We found our way to the Zoological and Botanical Gardens, a pleasant greenspace and avery in the middle of town where we spent a few hours before returning to Kowloon.
